NotMartha is my hero

Letting my crafty side show, I’m always amazed at the cool projects Megan at NotMartha comes up with. I have got to make these marble magnets.

Portland Knit-Out and Crochet - Rained Out!

Oh, it was such a bummer, the first real rains of the season came today, as we settled in for the knit out. I didn’t even have a chance to find anyone (Sue, I looked!) before the skys opened and we found ourselves running for shelter in the Nordstroms across the street. We did get in some good shoe shopping, though.

Marti and Eva putting in a quick appearance at the Knit Out

Oh, wow, Knitty is here and she is fabulous!

Congratulations to Amy and everyone else that had a hand it putting this online mag together!

I think my favorite pattern from this issue is the Anniversary Sweater by Shetha! Very nice!

I’m still absorbing the whole issue, but I just wanted to throw out a quick “Wow!”

Also, Amy, I just read your welcome feature - it was touching and wonderful. Knitty rocks and so do you and all of the knitters out there!

Give me a mannequin!

I’ve been wanting a mannequin ever since I started knitting - just a friendly little torso with a head to show off hats. Today I came across a way to make a torso yourself out of duck tape and t-shirts - not only is it very cheap and clever but it’s made to fit your own personal dimensions! Check out the Free Version of the instructions.

Now I just need a head…
