I’ve been looking for a good cabled sweater to use with some Gedifra Shetland for awhile and this one in Kate and Theresa’s knit-a-long is just perfect. I think Gedifra Shetland may be discontinued but I found a bunch of it on eBay. It’s very soft and springy when cabled. I used it to make my Dad’s sweater last year. This one (for me) will be in charcoal.

Also, because I’m a sucker for a good pair of legs … er … socks, I also ordered this book. If there’s any yarn left over from the Must-Have, I’ll be making up the cabled socks to match.
I haven’t knit anything of substance in nearly 4 months. I have bins and bins and bins of yarn. 30 Rowan, Lang, Vittadini and misc pattern books sit waiting on the shelf. Needles of every size and shape lay lifeless in various knitting baskets. And I can’t think of a thing I want to make.
Last year at this time I was madly trying to finish 3 sweaters and 2 scarves for Christmas. The mailman delivering my eBay yarn was my best friend. This web site was less than 4 months old. Where did all my passion for this go?
