I never saw the magic of the Colinette kit until I put this one together. My sweetie Mom’s favorite colors are teal and purple and this “Love It!” kit was full of many variations of them with just a touch of pink and green to make it interesting. Lot’s of differnt types of yarn and very touchable. This sweater flew! It’s made in all one piece, starting at one cuff and knitting sideways to the other, as a cardigan. Buttons didn’t come with it but I was lucky enough to find a gorgeous match at the local JoAnn Fabrics. I do have to admit that teal and purple are not my colors and so I took a month or two off in the middle of this one, just to let my eyes rest. It’s also done all in stockinette stitch, changing colors every 2 or so rows, so it’s tedious. But I love the result, I just Love it! (yeah, that’s the name of the pattern, sorry for the cheese). I was very lucky to make the acquaintance of Jane in England and bought the kit direct from her, saving a pretty penny compared to what I would have paid locally. Plus, she’s just a doll.
I don’t have a great picture of this one yet as I waited to block it until the day before I left to come home and it was still wet (I’ve been told it’s a perfect fit now)…
