Current Projects: I wish I could knit all day

I need to revamp my WIP list as some of them have become UFOs (unfinished projects). I seem to keep coming up with things that have to be finished right away before I get on to anything that’s been waiting around for me.

Currently I’m working on a couple baby sweaters from Debbie Bliss’ “The Baby Knits Book”. Love this book. And the Cashmerino yarns the patterns call for. I’m also still planning to finish the Chunky Soft sweater - I’m so close on that but I’ve been procrastinating because I need to modify the pattern so the neck is more floppy and I just haven’t had the focus lately. I wish I could knit all day.

I read that fellow blogger Mama Kate is a professional knitter and I am ever so jealous…

if it makes you feel better, i spend a good deal of time wishing for a full time job. of course, when i do go out into the big, scary world of validated employment, i’ll still be mostly knitting all day so i suppose this is moot.
but still - being a professional knitter doesn’t pay the bills, just helps a smidge. having working projects on the go every single day still wouldn’t pay even 1/2 of my super-cheap rent - it only makes sense if you have additional income in the household…. (though it’s fun and worth more than just $$)

(ps - I was checking out your gallery - lovely work!)
(pss - I didn’t notice before that you have a button, I’ll use it)

I took another look at the chunky soft sweater, as my mother was trying to steal it from me :-) Actually, the only thing you really need to do with the neck is decrease the amount erika knight says to seam on the sides, thereby leaving a larger opening–the actual neck is pretty good. I’m not that used to wearing t-necks in california, but my vermonter mom certainly liked it. I haven’t yielded it over yet, though….
