I just bought some Brown Sheep Lambs Pride “seconds” in white frost - I want to give the Kool-Aid dye thing a try. Then today, waiting patiently in my email, I received the current issue of Knitter’s Review with one of the articles being Dye Workshop: Make Your Own Kool Aid Colors. Perfect.

I had a blast with kool aid dying but sometimes the colors seemed a bit too pastel for me… I think if you use a gray wool they would look darker… I haven’t tried it yet though

Check out www.knitty too! There is a great article on koolaid dye there, complete with samples of the various colours you get from different flavours of koolaid!
Also, the colours don’t HAVE to be pastel at all. I dyed some off-white wool using grape and lime koolaid, and the results were BOLD! (my blog, in the October 21st entry, has a photo of a jester hat I made with my koolaid dyed wool….)
