Pretty pretty Noro Silk Garden

I am one back, two fronts, and a sleeve and a half done. It’s so soft. The paradigm of quality fibre. Every knitter should knit at least one ball of this, just to fathom at the earthy qualities of silk.

Hmm…that *is* pretty. What colorway is the yarn? I completed a Debbie Bliss raglan sweater in a very bright colorway, and I LOVE it. The clown in Cirque Du Soleil also loved it–she came up to me and patted the sweater, saying ‘yum’! Quite a moment for me :-)

That’s very pretty! What colorway did you use?

Thanks! It’s #34 - the same as on the cover of the 1st Noro book by Debbie Bliss, inside picture here: http://www.knittingfever.com/product.asp?p_id=192&i_id=812

Well, your version looks much prettier to me :-) I have a skein of that yarn, and it doesn’t seem to have the same range of colors–maybe the dyelots really changed. I made the raglan sweater in that book out of a very bright pastel silk garden–the clown in Cirque du Soleil loved it!

It’s amazing how every skein is so different. Some don’t have any brown at all and others barely have any purple or just a touch of bright green. I’ve really had a lot of fun putting this together, just watching the colors change…

    Oh man, that *is* pretty!

By the way, sorry for the double posts–for some reason, my Mac didn’t show me that the posts had taken–so there’s another platform-based mystery in the world.

Actually, Haloscan has been playing havok with all the posts lately, deleted them and then bring them back - so weird. Thanks for reposting when the first one disappeared! ;)
