Rowan #33 - an 80s revamp

Take a peek at Personal Threads. Shhh - at first glance, I don’t think I like it. Most of the patterns look like they stepped right out of the 80s, and not the stylish 80s of Rowan’s past issues. Bummer.

Why oh why, do all of the knitting magazines seem to all be headed back to the ’80s?!?! Please tell me that they didn’t model those tunic sweaters with stirup pants!!!

  2. Jamie Says:

Even worse, it looks like bright pink and turquoise blue are a popular pairing again - bleh!

    I am seriously underwhelmed…

This is one time I think I’m thanking my lucky stars that the Midwest is a couple of years behind Euro Fashion stylings because:

    A. I like wearing a bra…

    B. Huge square sweaters make everyone look like a tank…

    What up Kim Hargreaves -

  4. Anne Cruickshank Says:

Oh ye gods… not stirrup pants. Actually, in England, ’stirrup pants’ mean something entirely different, but I know what you mean.

Big mistake for me to browse through here….. Love to buy, buy, buy… I liked one of the patterns in that book, and went to the site and found a few more.

Do I need to buy the whole book?
I will if I need to!) some of the stuff though, is so so. Cindy

I agree on the big sweaters. I’ve looked at pictures of me in some and what was I thinking???? BIG!
I would like to have one perfect one, soft and comfy for in the house, but that’s about it! Cindy
