The Interview Game

1. Which is your favorite project that you’ve knitted, and what’s so great about it?
My favorite is still the one I made for my dad last Christmas. It was full of cables, spongy cables, and made of a very soft wool/mohair blend. And it was a pretty earthy brown. And I got to use the fat wooden cable needle. Love that little piece of wood.

2. If you could be magically granted one superpower, what would you choose and what corresponding symbol would go on your cape?
Oh, I hate to admit this, but I would want to be granted the power to remove people from this earth and place them on some other planet where they can be rude and evil and obnoxious to others like them and not to me or those other wonderful people around me. And my symbol would be TC for The Cleaner.

3. What one thing (not a category of things, like “cds”) would you want to bring along if you were going to spend the rest of your life alone on a desert island?
That’s easy, my fiancee. Did I mention Bob and I got engaged? :) (Wedding’s on May 1 - Woo Hoo!)

4. How do you feel about your name?
When I was in 3rd grade I started signing my school papers “Janie” because I thought “Jamie” was a boy’s name. My over-reactive teacher called my parents and made a big case out of it. There was a “meeting”. And I was forced to continue using my boy-name. However, now that I’m older and a little less concerned about myself, I’m fine with it. It’s my name. I might prefer “Madilyn” or “September” but that’s what having kids is for, right? I am glad I didn’t stick with “Janie”. Ick.

5. Why the RED sweater?
I once saw a black and white picture of a little girl playing. The artist had colored just the sweater she was wearing red. It was striking. Isn’t that what we want all our knitting things to be?
