There is light at the end of the tunnel called Christmas

I hate being sick. I’ve spent the last two days in bed with some nasty head bug, numbly weaving in the ends on my intarsia project.

There is light at the end of the tunnel called Christmas. I have next week off work - hurray! - so I think I’ll have finished all the Christmas projects by the end of the week and can again turn to something more self-indulgent. So many projects and ideas, such little time…

I’m meeting Bob’s mother for the first time this Thanksgiving. I’ve also just gotten a very short haircut that I don’t know how to fix - I feel like I look like a boy. I’m freaking out a little bit. Tip: never get a new haircut within 3 weeks of meeting your boyfriend’s mom. Agony.

I’ve given up on the NaNo thing. November is a very busy month for creative types, I think - too many Christmas projects. I liked the concept, though, so I’ll be participating in my own NaNo sometime around April. There’s nothing going on in April.

Well, I understand about the nano thing, but we’ll miss you. :) See you next year!
