In knitting news, I just finished my last Christmas sleeve today - hurray!!! I’m doing intarsia with many many ends, thousands - no - hundreds of thousands of them! I literally spent all weekend weaving them in. I wish I could go back in time to Past Jamie and explain to her the importance of weaving in those ends as you go along. I would say, “Please Past Jamie, I’m begging you, take the time to do this. You have no idea how awful it’s going to be Dec 7 and 8 if you don’t.” I was offering Eva money to do it for me and trying to bribe Bob with dinners and backrubs, but to no avail. Oh the desperation!
Alright, enough of that, huh! At least I’m finished with it now and on to finishing!

LOL on the weaving as you go thing - just this weekend I was finishing a sweater and thinking, why oh why didn’t I weave as I went?!?!
Do you have a picture of the intarsia sweater you are working on? Any other advice for someone who wants to break into intarsia?

For what I’ve done, I think intarsia is a breeze once you get the hang of twisting the yarn. I’ve sewn my ends by actually spliting the yarn (of the same color) on the back side - I’m not sure that you’re supposed to do that, but it made things feel more secure and lay more flat…
I can’t show a picture yet bacause of Christmas (it’s agony!) but I’d be happy to send you a sneek peek if you gave me your email…
