I am just working up the nerve to try my hand at design, but I get most of my inspiration from the plethora of free patterns found at knittingpatterncentral.com

This is absolutely beautiful, in either color!
I'm not really up for anything large or complicated right now, but I just may have to tackle something like this in the near future. Can't wait to be semi-retired!!!

I like to get knitting patterns from a host of different sources but I very much enjoy The Phildar Yarn Shop, particularly since they created the English version of their online yarn shop (www.phildar.com) I don't know who does their designs but they've got a great team that is right on with the latest looks. Great yarns, too. For instance, I knit a sweater in a cotton yarn that starts our dark blue and gradually fades to light. A hot look in that yarn! Although I've been knitting for years they also have great looking patterns for new knitters as well as fabulous knitting kits.

Hello, did you use the recommended yarn?

It looks good! I have the pattern myself, but have never really looked at it. I guess I should.

I LOVE IT. It is really cute. I recently discovered I like knitted toys...I always thought they looked kind of cheesy. When my son was born he got a small army of knitted toy and I can't decide witch one I like best! ~Shirani
